The event is a joint awareness, PR and fundraising initiative, that aims to kick start the Go Red for Women campaign which runs for the month of June. It will also raise the vital funds that are needed for the Heart Foundation to continue its life-saving research into women and heart disease.

As part of this Go Red for Women campaign, we are supporting Crowe Horwath who is participating and sponsoring in this year’s Red Dress Dash. This is a fun, non-competitive running “dash” event, where participants (men and women) dress in red and run across the short course creating a lively and exciting atmosphere, spreading the Heart Foundation’s key messages of heart health. The Red Dress Dash aims to raise $20,000 this year to aid much needed research, education and awareness into women and cardiovascular disease in Western Australia.

Prior to Multipro IT, Ben was a Technical Assistance Centre Engineer in the Security and Network Management areas at Cisco Systems in Sydney. He has over 5 years’ experience with various Cisco products mostly in their firewalls, routing and switching arena.

Ben graduated with a B.Tech in Information and Communication Sciences from Macquarie University and he currently holds a wide variety of Cisco qualifications including: Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP). Ben is also certified as Microsoft Certifed Systems Engineer (MCSE) and VMware Certified Professional (VCP).

In his spare time, Ben enjoys playing a competitive game of badminton!

We are pleased to announce the addition of Brian Conheady to our Sales and Marketing team! As the new Business Development Manager, Brian will be building on our success and introducing Multipro IT’s services into a growing number of clients.

Brian moved over to Perth at the end of last year from the UK where he was a successful Business Development Manager/Channel Manager for a Business Internet Service Provider. He has over 14 years of account management and business development experience within the ISP market, specifically for managed hosting, cloud solutions, data centre & collocation, security, disaster recovery and data backup. Brian is a keen biker and a classic car enthusiast.

We would like to give a very warm welcome to our new Operations Manager, Grant Meldrum. He manages the service desk and operations team, and ensures that we deliver high quality IT managed services to our clients. Grant has over 12 years’ experience in an array of specialist IT and Communications roles.

Prior to Multipro IT, he was an IT & Communications Manager within Australian Special Forces where he managed a team of 18 ICT professionals. Grant enjoys scuba diving around Perth and other exotic locations, working on and modifying his car and taking to the friendly virtual skies in Flight Simulator.

Reece has a diploma in Network Engineering and Systems Administration, along with 8 experience in Microsoft, Domino and Wireless. Previously he was working as a Wi-Fi Applications Engineer for Xirrus, a leading US technology company where he was responsible for performing wireless site surveys and installation at customer sites. In his spare time, he enjoys driving and fixing his car, photography, motorcross and lanning.

Today is the 30th November and our very own Damien Lay has carved up a very stylish Mo to raise money for men’s health.

During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces in Australia and around the world. The aim of which is to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and depression in men.

We are all looking forward to seeing Damien’s clean-shaven face again!!

Last Friday the Multipro IT team enjoyed a half day out at the Wanneroo track, racing against each other in teams of two. It definitely brought out the competitive streak in everyone as we went on a 1025mtre International Kart Track with 18 corners and 5 straights.
